Jefferson Lab’s results on the Q2-evolution of moments of spin structure functions

We present the recent JLab measurements on moments of spin structure functions at intermediate and low Q2. The Bjorken sum and Burkhardt-Cottingham sum on the neutron are presented. The later appears to hold. Higher moments (generalized spin polarizabilities and dn 2) are shown and compared to chiral perturbation theory and lattice QCD respectively.

Asymptotic solutions of the evolution equation for the polarized nucleon structure function g2 (x, Q2)

We show that quark operators of twist 3 contributing to the polarized nucleon structure function gtW.3 (x, Q2) decouple from the evolution equation for the quark-gluon operators of the same twist in two important limits, Nc--,~ and n--,~(Nc is the number of colours and n refers to the nth moment of g2). The anomalous dimensions for the quark operators turn out to be always the lowest ones in th...

Neutron Spin Sum Rules and Spin Polarizabilities at Low Q2

izabilities have been formed. These proceedings will concentrate on recent measurments on the neutron via a polarized 3He target in the low Q2 region. In particular, experiment E97-110 was performed in Hall A to study the neutron and 3He spin structure at four-momentum transfers between 0.02 and 0.3 GeV2. This Q2 range allows us to make a benchmark-check of Chiral Perturbation Theory calculatio...
